The Springfield Six Mix

Description

This wine is produced for Turn Back Time Radio by Mountainside Wines, a small family-owned and operated winery nestled into the base of Mount Cole on the edge of the Grampians Wine region in Victoria. The winery produces Shiraz, Viognier and Nebbiolo wines, made from grapes grown on the property.

Tasting Notes

The Springfield

The Springfield displays a bouquet of black pepper with berry overtones and is followed by flavours of blackberries, spice and black pepper with hints of clove and nutmeg. It has firm tannins and a long clean finish. We recommend that the wine be decanted before drinking.

The Mercury

The Mercury displays a soft round bouquet of berries followed by rich red berry flavours, black pepper and a hint of toast. It has a supple mouthfeel with firm tannins and a long clean finish.

The Presley

The Presley is influenced by American Oak and displays a bouquet of black pepper with berry overtones and is followed by flavours of blackberries, spice and black pepper with hints of clove and nutmeg. It has firm tannins and a long clean finish. We recommend that the wine be decanted before drinking.

The Lennon

The integration of French Oak in The Lennon has produced a finely structured wine showing a bouquet of berry and a hint of pencil shavings. This is followed by flavours of blueberry, spice and black pepper with hints of clove and nutmeg. It has soft tannins and a long clean finish. We recommend that the wine be decanted before drinking.
